Show and Tell Friday~Fall Wreath

Show and Tell

About a week ago, the kids and I went out for a mid-morning walk. I noticed that the wild plants were abounding with beautiful ornaments of fall colors.

A bold idea came to my head, and I started to collect all of these "weeds", as some would call them, to make a wreath. But I found so much variety, textures, and colors, that it was hard to pass up.

Later in the afternoon, I put together the fall colored wreath out of these plants. I knew it wouldn't last long. In fact, it probably only lasted one day. But I didn't mind. It was good for my creative spirit. :) The pictures you see here are the results of my efforts with the plants that God planted near our home. It is also in my blog header; with a little help from photo shop. :)

Hope you enjoy the festive fall colors as I did. :)

You know who else enjoyed it--I bet your little ones enjoyed watching you pick "weeds" and creating something very pretty out of it. Wendy

Your wreath is beautiful, I love how you have taking what the good Lord has giving you growing in his earth around you and made what was already beautiful into something even more beautiful, I pray you have a great and blessed weekend.

I have done this before also and no, they don't last long, but they are so pretty and it is sooo much fun to find everything. Have a great weekend.

So pretty! You just have to dry them before you make a wreath next time. I remember walking down a path across the street from my in-laws home with my late MIL and collecting bittersweet for decorating. That lasts pretty well.
I have the same color door as you-awesome!

Lovely colors and great job. Was there no way to spray it with something to preserve it a little longer? I think it pleases our Father when we see ALL the beauty He places around us....and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
