About a week ago, the kids and I went out for a mid-morning walk. I noticed that the wild plants were abounding with beautiful ornaments of fall colors.
A bold idea came to my head, and I started to collect all of these "weeds", as some would call them, to make a wreath. But I found so much variety, textures, and colors, that it was hard to pass up.
Later in the afternoon, I put together the fall colored wreath out of these plants. I knew it wouldn't last long. In fact, it probably only lasted one day. But I didn't mind. It was good for my creative spirit. :) The pictures you see here are the results of my efforts with the plants that God planted near our home. It is also in my blog header; with a little help from photo shop. :)
Hope you enjoy the festive fall colors as I did. :)

You know who else enjoyed it--I bet your little ones enjoyed watching you pick "weeds" and creating something very pretty out of it. Wendy
How pretty, indeed!!! What a blessing!!
Your wreath is beautiful, I love how you have taking what the good Lord has giving you growing in his earth around you and made what was already beautiful into something even more beautiful, I pray you have a great and blessed weekend.
It is so BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE IT!
I have done this before also and no, they don't last long, but they are so pretty and it is sooo much fun to find everything. Have a great weekend.
So pretty! You just have to dry them before you make a wreath next time. I remember walking down a path across the street from my in-laws home with my late MIL and collecting bittersweet for decorating. That lasts pretty well.
I have the same color door as you-awesome!
How fun was that to make! It looked lovely and what a creative mind you have!
Love, Ann
Very pretty! I enjoyed my visit...Linda
You made such a pretty wreath from the flowers. Take care.
What a gorgeous wreath! I love the natural plants and now you have the memory of your walk to go along with it!
Kathy
You are very creative! The wreath turned out beautiful and looks very festive on your door.
Lovely colors and great job. Was there no way to spray it with something to preserve it a little longer? I think it pleases our Father when we see ALL the beauty He places around us....and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Great idea! The wreath is wonderful! Too bad it only lasted a short time.
I love your colors up against your blue door_ what a lovely shade it is as well. Actually, what is the name of that color?
I loved your wreath, I did own a florist back in the day, but I love things like wild flower the wreath you made. I love thinks so natural. I planning to make a rosemary wreath soon. Pick some wild flowers for me.
Your wreath is really perfect. I don't think that there is anything you could have done to make it any more beautiful. It's just so inviting and pretty. Bravo!
